The Act to amend the organization and governance of the health and social services network, including the abolition of regional agencies, made it possible to group all Estrie institutions into one entity now known as the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS. The territory now served extends from Lac-Mégantic to Granby and has more than 450,000 inhabitants. Nearly all services, from prevention to highly specialized services, are now available within this entity, with over 17,000 employees and managers, and more than 1,000 physicians.In addition to the services offered to the population, the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS plays a role in regional economic health partnerships.
